We have been informed by Maersk that the ongoing conflict in and around the Red Sea/Gulf of Aden, including the Bab-El-Mandeb strait, has resulted in the company suspending all bookings to Djibouti until further notice.
Consequently, bookings from Europe, South America, North America, and West Africa to Djibouti are halted out of concern for the safety of its crews, vessels, and our customers’ cargo. For cargo already in transit, Maersk will make every effort to honor the bookings and ensure the safe arrival of the cargo at its destination. However, delays should be anticipated. All bookings to/from Djibouti without containers or equipment already linked to the booking are immediately invalidated.
Your Arpin Service Team is closely monitoring the situation in the region, and any changes affecting the suspended Maersk bookings to Djibouti impacting our customers’ shipments will be communicated promptly.
