Service Interruption Alert: A Series of Planned Strikes Expected to Cause Delays in Argentina

Workers throughout Argentina will be participating in planned strikes and work stoppages over the coming days and weeks. The disruption is expected to impact public transportation and clearance times for both imports and exports. Below is a list of the announced strike dates:

  • National Holiday – June 20
  • Customs’ Strike – June 22
  • General Workers’ Strike – June 25
  • Truck Drivers’ Strike – June 25, 26, and 27
  • Customs’ Strike – June 28 and 29
  • Customs’ Strike – July 5 and 6

As a consequence, we are advising customers with import or export shipments to prepare for some major delays as well as additional port storage, demurrage, and various other charges which may be assessed.
