Arpin International Group has learned that Maersk is taking these actions due to the ongoing conflict and safety concerns, making traveling through the Red Sea no longer feasible for the foreseeable future.
Consequently, the Blue Nile Express (BNX) will amend its service rotation to Jebel Ali – Salalah – Hazira – Nhava Sheva – Jebel Ali. The changes will not impact the vessel’s carrying capacity. In addition, Maersk stated that Blue Nile Express service will temporarily exclude Djibouti, Jeddah, and King Abdullah Port in Saudi Arabia from its route. Maersk will no longer accept new bookings to these ports.
In a separate announcement, Maersk also shared that it will stop booking acceptance to and from Berbera, Hodeida, and Aden; however, current bookings to all locations above will be honored, although customers should expect delays.
Your Arpin service team will continue to set realistic expectations with our customers and contact those impacted by the recent Red Sea re-routing and service suspension to set up individualized contingency plans. Please do not hesitate to contact your dedicated Arpin International Move Coordinator for advice and guidance on alternative ports to route into or with questions regarding additional charges that customers may incur.
