ReNewable Now Becomes Premier Media Partner of International Society of Sustainability ProfessionalFebruary 11, 2015
ReNewable Now is a Providence, Rhode Island-based media network whose mission is to educate, promote, and report on the positive growth that results when moving towards a more sustainable future, both economically and socially.
A video crew from ReNewable Now attended ISSP Conference 2014 last fall to film a series of interviews with conference attendees. Entitled ISSP Profiles in Excellence, the video series profiles leaders in sustainability who share their experience and talk about who inspired them, where they think the sustainability field is headed and what aspiring sustainability professionals should be doing to make sustainability standard practice. The entire series was made possible by the Arpin Group who is identified in the beginning of each episode.
The Profiles in Excellence video series kicks off this week with an interview with Bob Willard, speaker and author of The New Sustainability Advantage and The Sustainability Champion's Handbook. Willard is a leading expert on quantifying and selling the business value of corporate sustainability strategies and has given hundreds of keynote presentations to corporate, government, university and NGO audiences.
Commenting on the strategic partnership, ISSP Executive Director Maureen Hart says, “We're very excited to have entered into our partnership with the team at ReNewable Now. They're a great group of professionals from the business, educational and media communities who have come together to focus on what they believe to be the next economy, the Green Economy.”
Peter Arpin, host and Executive Producer of ReNewable Now’s Business Side of Green, had this to say about the partnership. “ReNewable Now is honored to be working with our new partners at ISSP. We firmly believe that this organization is going to help to shape the future of the profession through their certification program, and on-going educational outreach initiatives. Rarely do you find organizations with such intellectual depth that are complimented with so many passionate, and committed individuals that are working for a common good.”
The ReNewable Now video crew filmed interviews with almost two dozen sustainability leaders who attended ISSP Conference 2014. A new interview will be posted each week and will be promoted by ISSP and ReNewable Now through their respective Websites and social media channels.
