Peter Arpin, President
Peter Arpin is the fourth generation of Arpin family members to run the company first established in 1900 by his Great Grandparents. He assumed his current responsibilities as President of Arpin International Group in 1989, and also runs its Alaskan division. Peter also serves as Executive Vice President of Arpin Group, Inc. – the holding company for Arpin International Group, Arpin Moving, Inc., Creative Storage Solutions, Arpin Renewable Energy, Arpin Broadcast Network, Arpin Associates, and several others. He is also a member of the company’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Peter’s entrepreneurial spirit is evidenced by his latest business venture. In 2008, he became President of two new Arpin Group companies, Arpin Renewable Energy and ReNewable Now. Arpin Renewable Energy is responsible for all internal environmental auditing across all Arpin Group companies. Peter currently leads a central group of people working on low-carbon growth Research and Development initiatives. ReNewable Now’s mission is to educate, promote, and report on the positive growth that results when moving towards a more sustainable future, both economically and socially.

Mark Greene, Senior Vice President, Global Operations
Mark began his career at Arpin working as a college Intern in 1991. Upon earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant College, he joined Arpin on a full-time basis in 1994. During his tenure, he has held positions as Alaska Relocation Coordinator, GSA (General Services Administration) Manager, and Vice President GSA International, leading him to his current position as Senior Vice President, Global Operations. In this capacity, Mark is responsible for overseeing Arpin Group’s domestic and international GSA relationship and services. During the time Mark has been managing the GSA business segment, Arpin has maintained exceptional Customer Satisfaction Index scores.

In 2019, Mark’s role expanded within the company to include the day-to-day management of Arpin International Group’s commercial division. Reporting directly to Peter Arpin, his primary responsibilities focus on corporate business development, client relations, and implementing the overall corporate client growth strategies of the company. Mark is also a member of Arpin Group’s Management Committee and represents Arpin at most foreign and domestic transportation-related organizations such as FIDI, LACMA, IAM, WERC, etc.

Michael Johnsen, Vice President, Asia-Pacific Region
Michael has over a decade of successful sales and management experience in the household goods moving and storage industry. As Vice President, Asia Pacific Region, his proven track record of success and leadership will help continue to grow Arpin’s presence in China as well as corporate business development and growth strategies for the region. He will also continue to be responsible for the overall performance of Arpin China, working closely with the outstanding Arpin China team to deliver world-class services to multi-national corporations and their transferees.

Previously, Michael was a co-founder and vice president of business development at Dash Brands, a China-based multi-brand, food and beverage retail company, and a business development director at Interdean.Interconex, where he helped set up the company’s office in Beijing in 1997.

A former U.S. Marine, Michael is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and holds an MBA from ESCP Europe in Paris.

Sebastian Sommer, Managing Director of Arpin International Group – Germany 
Sebastian has more than 19 years of experience in the moving industry and is responsible for managing all activities for Arpin Germany’s area in the EMEA. Prior to joining Arpin, he served in a number of roles with Crown Worldwide, most recently as a country manager. In his previous role, he was responsible for the management of the German entity which includes project and change management as well as maintaining internal and external certifications and audits.

Sebastian earned a bachelor’s of transport management and operations degree from Worldtrade Academy in Frankfurt, Germany. He resides in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Keith Whelan, Managing Director of Arpin International Group – Ireland

Keith Whelan is a highly-respected professional in the international removals industry with over 26 years of experience. During his career, Keith has worked in many facets of the industry gaining hands-on experience as a porter, packer, driver, warehouse manager, dispatcher, and operations manager.  He eventually made the transition into sales and business development where he was responsible for managing all UK and international corporate accounts for an EMEA-based forwarder. Eventually, Keith opened his own business providing porters and moving assistance to UK and Irish moving companies in addition to owning an airport transport business.

Having worked with Keith when he was a supplier to Arpin Ireland, Dee Hulse, the original managing director of Arpin’s Ireland office, recruited Keith to work alongside her as she transitioned into retirement and encouraged him to make the shift in 2018.

Keith continues to develop and grow the Irish market despite the challenges Brexit presents and is excited by the opportunities ahead. Under Keith’s direction, the company continues to increase its market share.

In 2012, Keith acquired level 3, Certificate in Professional Competence in International Road Haulage. In addition, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Human Resources and Business Management from University College Dublin.

Philip Hamill, Director of Arpin International Group – United Kingdom 
Philip Hamill is a relocation professional who has been involved in international transportation since 1977. For the last 20 years, his focus has been in the international household goods moving and storage industry. In 1992, Phil joined Interconex Europe Ltd. as Marketing Manager. After only two years with the company, he was asked to take over the company’s start-up operation in Singapore. This afforded Phil the opportunity to combine his sales acumen with his in-depth operational knowledge and experience in international relocation. Due to the success of Interconex’s Singapore operation, Phil relocated to Hong Kong in 1997 where he managed all of Interconex’s operations in Asia. Phil’s success in Hong Kong led to him returning to Interconex’s European headquarters in London in 1999 as Managing Director. Following Interdean’s and Interconex’s merger in 2001, Phil relocated to New York to take over the responsibilities of Sales and Marketing for the U.S.A. and Asia.

In 2003, Phil relocated back to London to join Arpin and become one of the founding members of Arpin International Group, U.K. This was Arpin’s first Strategic Service Center located outside of the U.S. and it has been a model for other Strategic Service Centers as the company continues to expand internationally. Since its founding, the UK Service Center has experienced tremendous growth from having achieved $500,000 in revenues in 2003 to nearly $17 million in revenues in 2016.

Phil has Diplomas in Finance of International Trade, Law of Carriage, Elements of Commercial law, Commerce in International Trade and Marine Insurance.

Lauren Inglis, Regional Director, Arpin International Group – Middle East & India
Lauren has 13 years’ experience in the global shipping and moving industry. She began her career in the transportation industry at a shipping line where she was involved in roles managing international freight forwarding for corporate accounts. She worked in the import and export departments and had direct dealings with commercial cargo and break bulk shippers in South Africa.

Lauren has been based in the United Arab Emirates, residing in Dubai, for the last five years and her experience in relocation extends to move management for import, export, and third-country relocations, operational management and liaison with shipping lines, freight brokers, and account management for international corporate accounts in the Middle Ease. She is particularly well-versed with the customs regulations and document requirements and procedures pertaining to all countries in the Middle East and Gulf Region, namely: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, and Egypt. In addition, Lauren also oversees Arpin’s Customer Service Center in Kerala, India.
