Recent storms have impacted normal operations at the Poti Seaport, Georgia. Since December, the entrance channel depth has been severely obstructed with sedimentation and silt stirred up as a result of turbulent weather. This has made it very difficult for vessels to maneuver.
Port workers are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. The Poti Seaport is located off the eastern Black Sea coast at the mouth of the Rioni River.
